This would place Misty's age in the novels as beingness around 10 to 11 initially. In "Ash Catches a Pokémon" in a line that was rewritten in the dub to remove the mention of age, Misty after waking up to see Ash's Caterpie sleeping next to her exclaims that such was "the worst affair that'south happened to [Misty] in the x years of [Misty's] life", which implies that she's besides 10 in the anime, at least initially, which is supported past supplemental materials for the show in the Japanese version listing her equally 10.
  • Despite Misty beingness a Water -type trainer, she has had some exceptions in the anime — Togepi which is a Fairy -type, Togetic which evolved from Togepi is a Fairy turned Fairy / Flight type and Azurill which is a Normal blazon. • She besides has had a fear of Gyarados subsequently crawling into one's oral cavity as a infant (despite information technology beingness part Water -blazon). She conquered this fear and she had a Gyarados of her own that knows the Burn down -blazon motion Flamethrower. But it seems that information technology has forgotten the move. In the 2d Pokémon movie, Misty got jealous later on Melody kisses Ash, implying that she truly does have a vanquish on Ash; although she initially denies it, she changes her mind later on and implicitly admits it to be true towards the end of the film. In fact, Misty'southward Song strongly implies this even more. Previously, in the Orangish Isle League, Rudy, i gym leader who was attracted to Misty, noticed her feelings for Ash and tried hinting at it to Ash, who was oblivious. In a later on episode in the Johto League, Misty even told Ash that one twenty-four hour period they would be married, surprising Ash (although it's debatable whether or non she meant that they would terminate upwards marrying each other).
